BOE Shares Reservoir Master Plan Minutes

Updated: Jan 27, 2022

The Board of Engineering (BOE) has posted the Silver Lake Reservoir Complex Stakeholder Working Group (SWG) minutes from October 21. The summary includes an update on the Reservoir Master Plan and introduces the SWG to the Environmental Impact Review (EIR) consultant ESA. BOE also posted a link to the presentation seen by the SWG, which includes an overview of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) statute that requires state and local agencies to identify the significant environmental impacts of their actions and to avoid or mitigate those impacts, if feasible. Because the Silver Lake Reservoirs are currently protected and function as a wildlife sanctuary—and are located in a residential area—environmental considerations are crucial to its future. The BOE is the lead city agency for the planning, design and construction management of public buildings, infrastructure and open space projects.
