Approximately 50 trees surrounding the Silver Lake Reservoir near the Meadow have been marked with red “REMOVE” tags. These trees are designated for removal in the
controversial Reservoirs Master Plan Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR), which closed for comments on December 2, 2022. The REMOVE tags have caught the attention of visitors to Next Door and other social media sites. The DEIR has designated nearly 100
trees for removal. A revised EIR has not been released to the public.
