To make Silver Lake sidewalks and driveways ADA compliant, the Department of Public
Works, Bureau of Street Services, Construction Services Division (BSS) in collaboration
with DWP continue to install sidewalk upgrades around the Silver Lake Reservoirs Complex. DWP Project Manager Joe Gobran said DWP work, which involved the reservoirs walking paths, is completed. BOE street services did not return a call from SLT, but work on sidewalks is still underway. The project is part of citywide initiative that started in 2017.
Work began on February 8 and construction work hours are typically Monday through
Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. While work is in progress, “Tow Away - No Parking” signs
may be placed on the impacted street 72 hours before work begins. Vehicles will not be
allowed to park during work hours to allow construction crews a clear and safe work area.
If you have any questions or concerns about the sidewalk repairs, please contact the BSS
supervisor at the job site or call (213) 847-2966.
